Within the spaces of SBTT (Stile Bottega Architettura), the artist Asia Galeati invites visitors to take part in an unknown destination, a no-place—one that emerges from the encounter between two interlocutors, two witnesses; from memory and imagination; from truth and idealization, unfolding through the duration of an inherited passage of facts, traditions, beliefs, and superstitions rooted in Romagnol culture, binding grandmother and granddaughter.
“Invèl, in no-place” thus becomes a space in which to investigate the tools of research, listening, and restitution of a memory that is often an intangible void, yet one that art can nonetheless shape. The result takes the form of a fetish, a ritual object against oblivion: a large reconstructed skin, like memories themselves, which together allow images of real and emotional landscapes to surface and then fade once again. It is also through the unknown that this inheritance passes—an inheritance in which the collective can recognize itself.
Biografia dell'artista
Asia Galeati is a Romagna-born artist, born in Faenza on February 20, 2002. From an early age, she developed a strong interest in drawing and the visual arts, which led her to pursue a focused artistic education. She graduated in Painting from the P. L. Nervi–Severini Art High School in Ravenna and subsequently continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2025. She is currently enrolled in the Master’s program in Visual Arts at the same institution. Her research centers on a silent dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, with landscape functioning as a mediating element—both witness to the present and repository of past temporalities, at once static and in continuous transformation. With sustained attention to material practice, her work engages a plurality of materials and techniques, fostering relational structures and generating new visual and conceptual configurations.
